As an Assistant Clerk of Works (CoW), you'll be at the heart of our projects, inspecting every step of the build process to ensure excellence. With a supportive team by your side, this role isn't just a job - it's a journey of growth and learning opportunities.

 

👷‍♀️✍️What you’ll be doing

 

  • Assist the CoW team in inspecting construction work for quality and compliance.
  • Keep the communication flowing with contractors to track progress and tackle issues.
  • Write up detailed reports based on your site visits and findings.
  • Attend project meetings and provide support in resolving site problems and defects.
  • Team up with the Development team to offer technical advice during design consultations.
  • Stay updated on regulations, legislation, and new construction practices through training and CPD events.
  • Manage quality oversight, identify potential problems, and recommend solutions
  • Maintain records and filing systems for future reference.
  • Assist in snagging inspections and handovers of new properties.

  • Construction experience or relevant construction qualifications.
  • Knack for writing clear, concise reports that get to the heart of the matter.
  • Solid understanding of construction safety and regulations.
  • Sharp eye for detail, catching issues before they become big headaches.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
  • Strong organisational skills and confident, effective communication.
  • Ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
